Our friends at Fairphone are inviting you to get up close and personal with their brand new Fairphone at their London Design Festival Pop-Up Shop
“It all started a few years ago, when we decided to approach the mobile phone industry from a whole different angle. We wanted to get inside, figure out what it was made of and who contributed to creating a device we use every day… and then do it better. Fairer, more responsibly and completely open.
And, we’re well on our way. We’ve opened up parts of the supply chain, dug into the details of the production and our first edition Fairphone has made major steps in changing the way things are made.
Almost 13,000 people have already purchased our Fairphone and become a part of the movement. But it’s still in production, and until now, no one has actually seen, felt, or played with one. In September, you can be one of the first to hold a first prototype Fairphone in your own two hands, learn more about our journey and meet the team!
For a few days in the heart of Soho, we’re creating a small Fairphone world with our partners from Kwamecorp during London Design Week. Besides a celebration, there will be demos and presentations, urban mining and design workshops, a hackathon, and so much more.
Join us to meet the very first smartphone that puts social values first every step of the way.”
